CLASSES AT MID CITY MMA

WRESTLING

Wrestling uses grappling to obtain a position of advantage through different throws or techniques within a given ruleset. Wrestling involves different techniques such as clinch, throws, takedowns, pins, and other positions of dominance in order to pin one's opponent on their back.

Wrestling comes in different competitive forms such as freestyle, Greco-Roman, folkstyle, etc. Our classes pull from all of these styles.

STRIKING | SPARRING

Our striking program draws from western boxing, Muay Thai, dutch-style kickboxing, and tai kwon do, with the intention of blending them together for the sport of MMA.

BAG WORK - Our bag work classes will consist of individual work on a heavy bag, and is a perfect place for beginners to start.
PARTNER / PAD WORK - Our pad work classes involve techniques done with a partner, i.e. light situational sparring, drilling, or pad work.
SPARRING - Sparring is the live application of techniques learned in our striking classes. Sessions begin with a warmup and drilling, followed by live rounds. These sessions involve controlled training and are supervised by our coaches. We require 6 months minimum of training before participating in these sessions.

KIDS' JIU JITSU

Kids' Jiu Jitsu will include techniques from multiple forms of grappling, including Brazilian jiu jitsu, nogi submission grappling, and wrestling.

Our kids program provides a great opportunity for your little one to build confidence, break barriers, and gain significant skills throughout their development. They are taught a wide variety of techniques, as well as how to be a good partner. This allows them to acquire a stronger sense of focus, goal-setting abilities, and self-discipline through the ranked system.
